Dhanteras 2026 — Free Gold Coin Greeting & Offer Post Template

Dhanteras is a free social post template for Dhantrayodashi, the first day of the Diwali festival, which in 2026 falls on Friday 6 November 2026. It is the day families buy gold, silver, new utensils and appliances for good fortune, so it is also one of the biggest shopping days of the year for jewellers and stores across India. The whole post is drawn in CSS, so it stays sharp at every size and animates in the video export.
A kalash of gold, not a stock photo
At the centre is a polished brass kalash with a maroon band of pearls, heaped with gold coins and glowing from behind. Two diyas burn on either side and their flames flicker in the animated version, small sparkles twinkle around the pot, and gold coins stamped with the rupee sign drift down the edges of a deep maroon sky. Every colour, including the gold and the sky, can be changed in the editor.
Hindi and English together
The editable Hindi line reads "शुभ धनतेरस" (Shubh Dhanteras) in Hind, a typeface made for Devanagari, above a large "Happy *Dhanteras*" set in Cinzel with the festive word in gold. Below it there is room for a short wish for health, wealth and new beginnings.
A greeting or a sale
The optional offer chip suits the day perfectly: "0% making charges", a coin or jewellery offer, an exchange deal or extended opening hours. Clear it for a pure greeting from a company, school or office.
The date keeps itself up to date
The label carries the date of the next Dhanteras and changes to the following year on its own once the day has passed, so a design saved this year still opens with the right date next October. Every size is ready: the 4:5 portrait for the Instagram and Facebook feed, the 9:16 Story for WhatsApp Status, and on 16:9 and LinkedIn the kalash sits beside the text. For the main festival two days later, pair it with Diwali.

Create a 1080×1350 Dhanteras greeting social post in plain HTML and CSS.
Requirements:
- A deep maroon gradient sky with a warm gold glow near the bottom.
- In the lower half, a polished brass kalash (pot) drawn with CSS gradients and border-radius, with a maroon band of small pearls, heaped with overlapping gold coins, with a small diya on each side whose flame is a teardrop shape with a soft glow.
- A few gold coins with a rupee sign scattered along the left and right edges, kept away from the text.
- At the top a small uppercase gold date label, then a Hindi greeting "शुभ धनतेरस" in a Devanagari typeface, a large serif headline "Happy Dhanteras" with "Dhanteras" in gold, a one-line wish and an optional rounded gold offer chip.
- The handle in gold at the bottom.
- Sizes in CSS units based on the shorter side so the same markup works at 1080×1080, 1080×1920 and 1200×628.Want to tighten it up first? Dhanteras 2026 is on Friday 6 November 2026. It falls on Trayodashi, the thirteenth day of the waning moon in the month of Kartik, usually two days before Lakshmi Puja, so the date changes every year. The template's date label moves to the next Dhanteras on its own.
