We’re Live — Free Launch Day Announcement Post Template

We're Live is a free launch-day post template for Product Hunt launches, app store releases, Kickstarter campaigns and livestreams. Huge condensed "We're live on" type sits above the platform name in the accent colour, with the date and a one-line ask for support underneath, all on bold diagonal stripes.
Loud by design
Launch day is not the time for subtle. The platform name is set in Bebas Neue at a massive size, and the diagonal stripes, a CSS repeating-linear-gradient in the accent colour at 16% opacity, add energy without needing an image. The default black, white and coral palette echoes Product Hunt's colours, and you can change it in one click.
One clear ask
The footer, separated by a thick accent rule, has the date ("Today · Nov 18") and a single call to action ("Your upvote helps us reach more makers"). One request per post converts better than a list.
Any platform, any launch
Change the platform field to "the App Store", "Kickstarter", "YouTube" or "Twitch". Long names shrink automatically to fit the width. For livestreams, change the first line to "We're live now on".
Launch week workflow
Build anticipation with Countdown, announce the product with Product Launch, post this on the day, and close with Milestone. All four sizes are included, so the landscape version suits X and the Story version suits Instagram.

Create a 1080×1350 "We're live on Product Hunt" launch-day post in HTML and CSS.
- Black background covered by diagonal stripes: repeating-linear-gradient(-45deg) of the accent at 16% opacity.
- Huge condensed type (Bebas Neue): a first line "We're live on" and the platform name much larger in the accent colour.
- Footer above a thick accent top border: an uppercase date line and a one-sentence call to action.
- Use --u (1% of the shorter side) so the post scales to square, Story and 16:9.Want to tighten it up first? Run this prompt through the AI Prompt Studio to score it across 8 quality dimensions, catch anti-patterns, and tune the wording for Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini before you paste it in.

Frequently Asked Questions
Open We're Live, keep "Product Hunt" as the platform, set the date and your upvote ask, then download the landscape size for X and the portrait or Story size for LinkedIn and Instagram.
Yes. The platform name is editable: App Store, Google Play, Kickstarter, YouTube, Twitch, or anything else. Long names shrink to fit.
The stripes use the accent colour, so changing the accent recolours them. To remove or restyle them, fork the template to My Code and edit the .l-stripes CSS.
Make one clear request, such as an upvote, a download, a backing or "join the stream", and keep it under about 60 characters.
Portrait post 1080×1350 (4:5): Instagram feed (recommended), Facebook and LinkedIn feeds, X portrait. Square post 1080×1080 (1:1): Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X feeds. Story / Reel 1080×1920 (9:16): Instagram and Facebook Stories, Reel covers. Landscape post 1600×900 (16:9): X feed image, Facebook landscape. LinkedIn image 1200×627 (1.91:1): LinkedIn shared image and link posts, Facebook link images. Pinterest pin 1000×1500 (2:3): Pinterest standard pin (the recommended 2:3 ratio). Switch sizes in the editor and the layout adapts, or click "All sizes (ZIP)" to download every size at once.
Press Play in the editor to watch the animation for free. Downloading it as an animated MP4 (or WebM) for Reels, Stories and WhatsApp Status is for Patreon supporters, who enter the supporter passcode once. PNG, JPG, PDF and HTML exports are free.
Yes, for Patreon supporters. Choose Export, then "Bulk create from CSV", and paste rows from a spreadsheet or upload a CSV whose column names match the We’re Live fields. Every row becomes one post, and you download them all as a ZIP.
Yes. The preview switches between the plain design and mock-ups of an Instagram feed post, an Instagram Story, an X post and a LinkedIn post, using the name, handle and logo from your brand kit and the caption you type.
Yes. "Copy HTML" and "Download .html" give you one self-contained file: the markup, all the CSS and links to the Google Fonts it uses. "Fork to My Code" saves an editable copy in the UI Snippets editor. The file records the template name and version (v1.0.0).
Yes. It is free for personal and commercial posts, with no sign-up and no watermark. Everything runs in your browser and nothing you type or upload is sent to a server.
