About this template

Did You Know? — Free Fun Fact Post Template for Social Media

Did You Know? social post template: A warm fact card with a giant question mark, a "Did you know?" heading, the fact itself and a small source line.

Did You Know? is a free fact post template for Instagram, Facebook and X. A giant translucent question mark fills the corner, a bold "Did you know?" heading sits at the top, the fact is the hero, and a small source line keeps it credible.

Why fact posts work

Facts and statistics are some of the most saved and shared posts because they are quick to read and easy to pass on. This layout gives the fact plenty of room, in Poppins at 700 weight, and keeps everything else small.

Credibility built in

The footer has a dedicated source line ("Source: CERN, 1991") on the left and your handle on the right. Citing a source makes a fact post more trustworthy and more likely to be reshared, especially for statistics and history posts.

Warm, attention-grabbing design

The default palette is a warm amber background with deep brown text and an orange accent. The oversized question mark is drawn as text in the heading font at 22% accent opacity, positioned partly off the canvas so it frames the content without competing with it. On Story size it moves up to stay clear of the reply bar.

Highlight the surprising part

Wrap the surprising part of the fact in *asterisks* to colour it with the accent, for example "The first website ever made is *still online*". Long facts shrink automatically to fit.

Pair it with Tip of the Day for educational series, or Big Quote for quotes.

Why use it

Why Use the Did You Know? Template

?
Facts get saved and shared
One surprising fact is quick to read and easy to pass on, which makes this one of the most reliable engagement formats.
✓
Credibility built in
A dedicated source line sits under the fact, so statistics and history posts look trustworthy rather than made up.
◐
Stands out in the feed
The warm palette and giant question mark grab attention without photos, so you can post facts every day without hunting for images.

How it’s different

How It’s Different From Canva-Style Templates

</>
Real HTML and CSS, not a locked image
Canva-style templates only give you an image. These are plain HTML and CSS you can copy, download as a .html file or fork into My Code, then reuse on a website, in an email or in your own design system.
◍
Private by design
Text and photos never leave your browser. Images are drawn locally on a canvas, so client photos and unreleased product screenshots stay on your device.
⇲
Every size from one design
Layouts use relative units, so one design exports as an Instagram portrait post, a square, a Story, a 16:9 X post, a LinkedIn image and a Pinterest pin, or all six at once as a ZIP.
✓
Free, with no account or watermark
No sign-up, no premium-only templates, no watermark and no download limits. Edits are saved in your browser for next time.
Aa
Text that always fits
Long headlines shrink step by step instead of overflowing, and Story layouts keep text clear of Instagram’s buttons. Most template editors leave both to you.
v1
Versioned templates
Each template has a version number and an update date, and the exported HTML records which version you used, so you can tell when a design changes.
