About this template

Tip of the Day — Free Educational Tip Post Template for Instagram

Tip of the Day social post template: A soft gradient card with a "Tip of the day" label, a large tip number, a headline, a short explanation and your logo and handle.

Tip of the Day is a free social post template for daily or weekly tip series. It pairs a pill-shaped "Tip of the day" label with a large faded tip number, a bold headline tip, a short explanation and a footer with your logo and handle.

Built for a series

Numbered tips ("#27") build a habit with your followers, and the large translucent number in the top-right corner makes each post feel like part of a collection. Keep the colours and fonts the same, change only the number, tip and explanation, and your grid gets a consistent look.

Readable hierarchy

The headline uses Plus Jakarta Sans at 800 weight with tight tracking, and the explanation is a lighter, smaller paragraph at 82% opacity, so people can take in the tip at a glance and read the detail if they stop scrolling. Highlight the key term with *asterisks* to colour it with the accent.

Soft gradient background

The card uses a gentle CSS linear-gradient between two tints (lavender to periwinkle by default), so it reads as calm and trustworthy, which suits education, coaching and product how-to content. The logo slot is optional and keeps its proportions.

Sizes and export

Every tip works as a 4:5 portrait post, a square, a Story and a 16:9 landscape post for X. Long tips shrink to fit. Download a PNG or JPEG, every size as a ZIP, or fork the HTML into My Code to reuse it elsewhere.

Why use it

Why Use the Tip of the Day Template

#
Built for a numbered series
The big tip number and fixed layout turn single posts into a collection followers recognise in their feed and on your grid.
⌖
Skimmable hierarchy
The headline carries the tip and a lighter paragraph explains it, so the post works for people who skim and people who stop.
↺
Fast to repeat
Your colours, fonts and logo are saved, so each new tip only needs a new number, headline and sentence.

How it’s different

How It’s Different From Canva-Style Templates

</>
Real HTML and CSS, not a locked image
Canva-style templates only give you an image. These are plain HTML and CSS you can copy, download as a .html file or fork into My Code, then reuse on a website, in an email or in your own design system.
◍
Private by design
Text and photos never leave your browser. Images are drawn locally on a canvas, so client photos and unreleased product screenshots stay on your device.
⇲
Every size from one design
Layouts use relative units, so one design exports as an Instagram portrait post, a square, a Story, a 16:9 X post, a LinkedIn image and a Pinterest pin, or all six at once as a ZIP.
✓
Free, with no account or watermark
No sign-up, no premium-only templates, no watermark and no download limits. Edits are saved in your browser for next time.
Aa
Text that always fits
Long headlines shrink step by step instead of overflowing, and Story layouts keep text clear of Instagram’s buttons. Most template editors leave both to you.
v1
Versioned templates
Each template has a version number and an update date, and the exported HTML records which version you used, so you can tell when a design changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Keep the headline under about 60 characters and the explanation to one or two short sentences. Longer text shrinks automatically to fit, but shorter text stays readable at phone size.
